This is important as these ports are the key to our convenience strategy to be able to LiveAboard cruise-liners long term and keep transfers between ships to a minimum, perferably none.
On my website Xpdatravel I have put together cruise iteneraries from two months to one year where the LiveAboard does not have to leave their ship at all.

To achieve this the LiveAboard sometimes has to put up with some repetitive itineraries. Although seeing Athens or Rome four times/days over a two month period is not a high price to pay for the convenience of the LiveAboard to be able stay on the ship and not to have to incur travel expenses to go to another port or change ship.

This Blog is set up with the sole purpose to gauge the interest of "Baby Boomers" in retirement possibilities available on Cruise Ships.

Provide a forum for ideas, comments, suggestions and recommendations as to how best to organize ourselves and benefit our members in an optimum way.

The only way we can make our dream a reality is to obtain serious and flexible pricing concessions from the cruise lines. We must approach them in substantial numbers as a group in order to get pricing power. Even if you do not wish to retire on a cruise liner your membership still helps us all in getting you unrivalled value for your cruises.

We invite you to join "cruisingthruretirement" to form a group with the objective to improve our voice and purchasing power with the Cruise Lines. Increase our choices, achieve flexibility in arrangements (swaps, quest cruises for relatives, convenient transfers, seemless itineraries), provide on shore facilities in the long term and so forth. Imagine the prices we could get from a cruise line if we could book an entire deck, 200+ Cabins!

There are no catches, and the venture should be self financing due to the critical mass achieved through our strength in numbers. Our ability to book in large groups will generate significant discounts to satisfy everyone.
